We recommend that you send your resume, any current cover letter if you have one and any specific job advertisements or industry that you are wanting to apply for. Providing this information early means that we can maximise the time spent in the consultation and will ensure the best results.

Who writes the cover letters?

Emma Moore, one of our main consultants, will write the cover letters for anyone seeking this service. She has a postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Business (Human Resource Management) and Careers Education and Development and has read over and created countless resumes and cover letters over the years. She has a unique skill set as she has also sat on the other side of the fence, as a prospective employer, hence has a thorough understanding of exactly what employers are looking for and uses that experience when writing cover letters to create exceptional work.

The letter should be appropriately spaced, this will ensure that it is aesthetically pleasing and ensures it doesn’t read as one big paragraph of text. Your contact details will be clearly included in multiple points throughout the cover letter, so there is no question regarding whose cover letter is being read!

Can I use the same cover letter for any job I apply for?

No, using the same cover letter isn’t ideal. This is your opportunity to prove to the employer why you are the best fit for the role you are applying for. This means you need to personalise each one to show them how suitable you are to fulfil the requirements of that job and also how enthusiastic you are about the company you want to work for.
